The durability of the base iPhone 16 devices is comparable to that of the Pro variants.

The base iPhone 16 is just as tough as the titanium Pro models.

Apple wasn’t lying when it claimed that the iPhone 16 was a tough cookie. YouTuber JerryRigEverything’s exacting durability tests were passed by the iPhone 16 Pro, however there were still concerns over the lower devices. The base model passed with flying colors, which is good news for Apple users.

The iPhone 16 passed the renowned bend test without breaking, even though it didn’t have the same titanium finish as its Pro predecessors. Zack, who is extremely well-built, attempts to break a phone in half with his bare hands in this test. Although it may sound absurd, several phones have failed the test and already resemble foldable phones.

The screen performed admirably as well. Unlike many other phones, the display held up well to heat exposure and didn’t have black patches. Additionally, it performed satisfactorily on the scratch test, exhibiting the typical outcome of deeper grooves on level seven of the Mohs Hardness Scale and minor scratches on level six.

The iPhone 16’s cameras and camera control button, which both resisted scratches, were arguably its most remarkable features. Naturally, Zack’s knife had less of an impact on the remainder of the chassis.

Along with Apple Intelligence, this robust camera control button is one of the new iPhone 16’s key selling features. The iPhone 16 introduction was so disappointing that Apple stock fell when it was revealed, with the former reserved for photographers and the latter not even completely available yet.

Production of the iPhone 16 has been halted because the new button and Apple’s AI strategy have not been sufficient to generate the kind of demand the firm had planned for. Overall, because Apple continues to release subpar software updates, this year has been somewhat dull for iPhone owners and Apple enthusiasts in general.

Don’t worry, though; the updated iPhone SE is expected to launch sometime in the upcoming year, most likely concurrently with Apple Intelligence’s final rollout. And if rumors of an iPhone 17 Air are true, Apple’s upcoming flagship range will likely provide some more intriguing options.
