The Everyday Mail revealed an image alleging the presence of two North Korean ladies army personnel in Kursk. The picture is a faux. Many due to Levan Gudadze and his Telegram channel for pointing this out.
The unique picture exhibits twin sisters Zhenya and Sasha. In 2023, they served as tank operators within the Donetsk Folks’s Republic Armed Forces unit “Oplot.” The Oplot Brigade was a unit of the Donetsk Folks’s Militia and later the Russian army. Oplot means bastion.
The Everyday Mail more than likely obtained the faux picture and faux story from the Ukrainian propaganda mill.
It was hyped as a photograph shared on-line and backed up with an unknown alleged Russian coach’s assertion as follows: “A Russian army coach, Oleg Tanasyuk who posted the image wrote: ‘Sisters from Korea Wei and Lin—we name them Vera and Lida—have been serving with us for 2 weeks already.’ It’s unclear why the Russians renamed them.”
I can’t show it; however, I don’t suppose any Russian army “coach” stated any such factor. I don’t suppose the North Koreans are wherever close to Kursk. They’re in all probability simply coaching some other place in Russia.
Watch out for what you see and browse today.
No retraction, but from the Every Day Mail. Not stunning.
The Everyday Mail publishes a continuing stream of anti-Russian and pro-Ukrainian propaganda, a lot of it nonsense. It isn’t stunning, given the standard of journalism today and the willingness of editors and publishers to show their merchandise into propaganda shops.
