One of many best wicketkeepers to play for Pakistan, Rashid Latif is known for his quirky but sturdy opinions on cricketing subjects. Nonetheless, not many know of the previous wicketkeeper batter’s Indian roots. In a video surfacing on social media, Latif may be flaunting his Indian roots, as he defined why folks from Uttar Pradesh (where his father lived earlier than migrating to Pakistan in the 1050s) shouldn’t be messed with. Rashid, who proudly flaunted his India connection, has a half-brother who lives in UP.
Within the video, Latif revealed that about 90% of his relatives dwell in Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh), where his father migrated to in the Nineteen Fifties.

Goro nei aisi hello nahi Uttar Pradesh ka naam Higher Province rakha tha “Leaving the country doesn’t mean we’ll forget the people. Our colour will remain blue, won’t it? One of my brothers lives in Sultanpur, and 90 percent of my family resides there too. The British didn’t name Uttar Pradesh the ‘Upper Province’ without reason,” Latif stated.

Latif additional Uttar Pradesh, saying folks from the state are among the many finest when it comes to politics, intelligence, and even abuses.
“Politics mein, mind mein, and ganglion mein primary Uttar Pradesh. Hum log waha se hain. Toh panga nahi lene ka apan se. Uttar Pradesh is number one in politics, intelligence, and even abuses. That’s where we come from. So, it’s better not to mess with us,” the previous Pakistan wicketkeeper stated.
For the unsuspecting, Rashid’s half-brother Shahid remained determined to stay in India and constructed a profession while working for a newspaper in Kolkata.
