Google has just announced a new Slides update that adds a plethora of modern, professionally designed templates.
Google just revealed a new version of Slides that includes a ton of “modern, professionally designed templates,” which should make it easier and faster for users to create presentations.
These themed templates are highly useful for business users since they were created with a variety of scenarios in mind, such as sales presentations, product roadmaps, and strategic planning.
Lesson plans, book reports, and project reports are examples of templates that are simple to use in the classroom. Other themed templates can be used for team games, workshop facilitation, and milestone celebrations.
You may access the new set of themed templates by going to Insert / Templates or by clicking the new “Templates” button in the Slides toolbar. Before completely customizing it with your own information, you may decide whether to include all the slides or only the ones you need once you’ve found a template that works for your presentation.
This is only the first step in improving the usability of template generation. According to Google, there will likely be more possibilities for high-quality Slides templates in the upcoming months.
It should be noted that only users utilizing the English (United States) language setting can utilize this function. Yes, you will not see these themed templates if your language settings are changed to another version of English, such as the United Kingdom or Australia.
As anticipated, all users with personal Google accounts, Workspace Individual subscribers, and Google Workspace clients will have access to the templates. After the update launches, the functionality will be activated by default.
Google reports that people registered in the Rapid Release domain are already receiving the updated Slides app, and it may take up to two weeks for everyone to see it. However, the new themed templates won’t be available for Scheduled Release domains until at least November 21. Positively, the deployment will take up to three days, which is much less time than the last rollout.
